The business model
Mini marts stock a tight, high-turn assortment — snacks, beverages, dairy, bread, basic toiletries, tobacco/vape where legal, phone credit/top-up, and a small selection of household essentials. Supplier relationships are simpler than a grocery/supermarket: a handful of FMCG van-sales distributors plus occasional cash-and-carry runs by the owner for gaps. Sales are almost 100% cash/card walk-in counter transactions with very small basket sizes but high transaction frequency relative to floor area.
